Bantam Chicken

Lala was born as a school hatching experiment. It is easy for the hens to find homes, the roosters, sadly, not so much. But Lala is a perfect gentleman. As a bantam, he is just a tiny fella, weighing just a few pounds. We can hold him in one hand. Our 3 year old daughter has held him and snuggled him for as long as he has lived with us, so he is very comfortable with humans. He may be small, but he holds his own, and is the boss of many of the bigger roosters.

Likes: The outdoors, fresh grass, being held
Dislikes: Rainy days, being treated like a small guy
