Big Red joined us when we received word that he, his rooster friend, and their 12 hen friends were all going to be butchered because their owner couldn't afford their food anymore. Many of them have since passed, and we believe they were fairly old. Big Red is one of our biggest roosters, and gentle as can be. He isn't outside very often and prefers the quiet inside the barn.
